FE
First up to bat is the base FE trim. This trim level sets the stage for acceleration and handling seen in most of the trims, thanks to its 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The 147 horsepower delivers understated power, while the 132 lb-ft of torque paves the way for precise handling in rain or shine.
With great power comes great fuel efficiency. The FE trim achieves an EPA-estimated 31 city/41 highway MPG, with a fuel tank that carries 14 gallons.1 All the while, your interior experience propels you to comfortable heights with a woven cloth seat trim, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and even a standard 8-inch touchscreen display.
LXS
Like the FE trim, the Kia Forte LXS trim provides identical performance under the hood. However, the LXS trim ups the ante with its standard Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) with Sportmatic® to provide for smoother performance. Choose from the handy Drive Mode Select, too, with options like Normal, Sport, and Comfort.
The LXS trim also sports black gloss sport bumper accents for a unique aesthetic, as well as a chrome exhaust tip for added scenery. On the inside, the 60/40 split-folding rear seat provides ample space to comfortably make room near the 15.3 cubic feet of cargo volume.
EX
The Kia Forte EX trim doesn’t shy away from its enhancements, but separates itself from the pack. The exterior is coated with a full-on sporty design, like:
- Chrome window molding
- Heated outside mirrors
- Power sunroof
If you enjoy the infotainment capabilities in the FE and LXS trims, the EX trim serves to impress. The standard UVO link 8-inch touchscreen display is included in this trim and provides access to things like SiriusXM® Traffic. Also standard in the EX trim is the Harman Kardon® Premium Audio system, which has eight speakers and delivers 320 watts of musical joy. Sounds fun, does it not?
GT
Lastly, there are the GT trims, including the GT-Line, GT, and GT-Manual trims. The Kia Forte GT trim makes its mark, beginning with the turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder motor. This engine upgrades to 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, equating to a clean, precise, and efficient drive each step of the way. The included 7-speed Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission (DCT) with Paddle Shifters provides extra oomph as well.
You have the option of choosing the available wireless phone charger to go on a drive without wires. Behind the wheel, the available LCD color display 4.2-inch Supervision Meter Cluster provides essential driver information with easy access. Plus, the optional heated and ventilated front seats allow for comfortable driving year-round.
