2021 Kia Niro Preview

Your bridge to the future of driving is here! At Brown-Daub Kia, our automotive team wants to preview the 2021 Kia Niro for the people of Easton, Allentown, and Quakertown.1

We expect the 2021 Niro to carry over from the previous model year with minimal changes. For Pennsylvania shoppers, that means three fuel-efficient Niro models to choose from: the Hybrid, the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV), and the EV. Go from zero to Niro in seconds in your new SUV!

2021 Kia Niro Hybrid: Modern Hybrid Technology

Just dipping your toes into the waters of fuel-efficient driving? You may want to start with your basic hybrid SUV—though we concede the 2012 Niro Hybrid is anything but basic!

With an EPA-estimated 52 city/49 highway MPG in recent years, the Niro Hybrid is one aerodynamic acrobat on the streets!2  Aside from being fun to drive with 195 lb-ft of torque, this Niro offers all the conveniences you’ve come to expect from Kia:

  • Kia Drive Wise driver-assist technology
  • Available 10.25-inch touch-screen display
  • Up to 54.5 cubic feet of cargo space

These specs will likely carry over to the 2021 model year, making this hybrid crossover the one to beat in a competitive segment!

2021 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid: Plug into Your Drive

Gas-electric hybrids are great. Fully electric vehicles are so fuel efficient. With the 2021 Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid, you can finally combine the best of both!

This Niro runs on a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor. With a combined powertrain net torque of 195 lb-ft, you’ll have no trouble getting up to speed in your Niro.

For short drives, the Niro Plug-In Hybrid even offers an all-electric mode. In years past, the SUV has had a range up to 26 all-electric miles, and we expect a similar figure for the 2021 model. You may be able to cover your entire commute on pure electric power!

2021 Kia Niro EV: Drive on Down Electric Avenue

What will you get from the 2021 Niro EV? As in the past, we expect to see outstanding electric performance from this small SUV. Charge so far ahead that you become a model for everyone else in the electric game! Expect a range up to 239 miles when fully charged.

Quick charging makes the Niro EV more appealing than ever. You can charge your battery up to 80% in about one hour with a compatible 50 kW DC fast charger.

Save even more energy when you brake with regenerative self-charging! The Niro EV captures energy otherwise lost when you decelerate or brake and uses it to recharge the battery.

When Is the 2021 Kia Niro Release Date?

We believe Easton, Allentown, and Quakertown, PA, shoppers will see the 2021 Kia Niro in our showroom early in 2021! You won’t have to wait long to get behind the wheel.
